Regina Joyce
Coach
Regina brings a special perspective to coaching because she knows what it takes to compete at the highest level. As a former competitive runner for Ireland, she competed in the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, finishing 23rd in the first Women's Olympic Marathon. She also placed 7th in the marathon at the 1983 World Championships and has a personal best of 2:32.56. Before turning pro, Regina competed for the University of Washington, where she set school records in every event from 1500m to 10km. Previously, Regina has coached for Edmonds-Woodway and Lynnwood High School and was instrumental in Yon's high school success. Now that she has returned to Seattle, she is excited to resume coaching as a part of Cascade Run Club.
