I have a friend in town who reminds me every time she sees a running post including me, “Hi, I’m Celeste and I hate running!” It was true back in summer of 2013. Lucky for me, I am proof that people CAN change!
I sought out a run club back then to hold me accountable to the training plan with my first half marathon on the calendar, and growing mileage becoming harder and harder to do alone. Since August 2014 i’ve called Cascade Run Club home, my happy place.
You’d think it’s all fun and games in this group because we all look so happy in the numerous photos circulating the cloud - the truth is, we come together, tired, overworked, stressed out...excited to see each other, and do the work of becoming better versions of ourselves, TOGETHER.

Training Pace: 10:00 is my happy pace, 9:30 is the working pace, 9:00 is the pace I’m training to
push for longer than 8 miles :)

Favorite Race Distance: 13.1, I don't run half of anything ;-)
Favorite Racing Experience: Unknowingly helping someone across the finish line in record time – as they followed my lead (pace) racing to the finish
Favorite CRC Memory: Tie: surprising Coach Yon by showing up to his out of state race...and surprising Katie at her first 13.1 race. I LOVE being cheer crew!
