Cascade Run Club divided and conquered last weekend, racing in both the Evergreen Half/10k as well as the Tunnel Vision Marathon.

Evergreen Half/10k

Snohomish Running Company put on yet another great event that the team enjoyed racing at. We had a total of runners 12 race either the 10k or the half marathon - both courses were gorgeous.

The team came ready to go and we had the top two overall finishers in the 10k, 4 age group winners, and many top 20 performances and PRs!

10k Performances:

• Overall Winner: Mike
• 2nd Place Overall: Paul
• Age Group Winners: Mike, Paul, Kathleen, and Jean
• Top 10 Age Group Finishers: Jared, Erika, and Marilyn
• Top 20 Age Group Finishers: Nikki, Summer, and Jade

• Top 10 Age Group Finishers: AJ and Liz*

*This was Liz's 7th completed half marathon in her quest to complete 12 half marathons in 12 months! Only 5 more to go Liz!

Tunnel Vision Marathon

In addition to the large group who raced in Monroe, we also had a group of 4 head to the Iron Horse Trail for the Tunnel Vision Marathon. All 4 club members who raced the full marathon there ran PR times! Ruthie ran a 19 min marathon PR and Cheryl improved her BQ time and will now be able to register for Boston 2018 a day early! We would also like to extend special congratulations to John and Michelle for completing their first marathons!
